Job Description:

The objective of the role is to promote the growth of MII Oil Holding & Gas Global Sales, and more specifically within our client group. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the Oil & Gas product lines, gained through his / her Application Engineering experience.


​° Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will contribute to defining and implementing Marketing &                Commercial strategies, with the objective to increase order volume and profitability.
° You will actively participate in the DTI (Demand to Inquiry) process, establishing a systematic

   business-scouting program, in order to identify existing and new market opportunities.

​Working within the Onshore Facilities Delivery Team, you'll ensure that bidder’s lists and contracts are initiated, established, approved, and executed promptly and accurately. The MII Contracts team will be responsible for the commercial aspects of a total outsourced spend for facilities exceeding 1 billion dollars and for wells close to 700 million dollars. 


Your principal challenges in this role will be:

° To ensure that, where possible, goods and services are procured locally from indigenous companies
° To develop knowledge of the capabilities, experience, and capacities of local contractors
° To monitor the local content in existing and future contracts to stimulate and develop involvement of local              companies
° To ensure that the acquisition of goods and services complies in all respects with the GEC (Generally                   Embargoed Countries) legislation
° To ensure that best practices including online bidding, supply chain management, global procurement                   initiatives, cross-project synergies and other new developments are built into the contracting strategy and             tactics.


You must combine a degree or equivalent with appropriate professional qualifications in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Petroleum or Chemical), Law, Quantity Surveying, Accountancy or Business Studies/Economics. To this, you should add substantial experience of working directly with contracts of this type and dimension, preferably in the Middle East. You'll also have:

° Excellent English with excellent influencing and (written) communication skills.
° IT skills with a keen commercial and financial aptitude
° The ability to build a strong network of relationships
° A strong knowledge of the contracting process
° The capacity to manage change, deliver business value
° Project management skills in the Oil & Gas business
° The ability to work with diverse cultures and deal with ambiguities
